4 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari: Kidepo Valley National Park located in the far northeastern part of Uganda is the most isolated national park in the country. However, it is also by far the most beautiful savannah national park in Uganda; so much so, that it is referred to as the “Masai Mara of Uganda.” This national park has a profusion of big game and also hosts over 77 mammal species and over 475 bird species.

Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari.
Day 1: Pickup from Kampala and Transfer to Kitgum.
Pickup from Kampala & City Tour: On Day 1 of your 4 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari, your guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala. You will embark on a half day tour of Kampala city visiting interesting historical and cultural sites such as; the Uganda Museum, King’s Palace, and Ndeere Cultural Center among others.
Transfer to Kitgum: After lunch, you will drive to Kitgum district where you will get to spend the night at one of the hotels/lodges in Kitgum town.
Day 2: Drive to Kidepo and Community Tour.
Drive to Kidepo: Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast. You will meet up with your guide and proceed with your transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park in the northeastern part of Uganda. It takes about 2-3 hours driving from Kitgum town to the national park.
Morning Game Drive: Upon your arrival in the park, check into your lodge. Later, you will embark on a morning game drive along the Narus Valley. You will get an opportunity to see lots of wildlife in that area of the park such as; buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis, elephants- and even the odd jackal. If you are lucky, you might even spot some of the lions in the park, sitting in “sausage trees” along the Narus Valley. Day game drives in Kidepo valley national park can take several hours between 1-3 or all day depending on what attractions you want to see in the park. Drive back to your lodge for lunch.
Community Tour: After having your lunch, you will embark on a community cultural tour where you will visit the Lorokul Cultural Group, located just outside the national park. Discover the unique culture of this cattle-herding Karamojong community. You will get to watch dance performances from the some of the dance groups in the community and also interact with the friendly locals.
Drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Hike to Lamoj Mountains.
Hike to Lamoj Mountains: Have breakfast early in the morning and set off on a hiking expedition to Lamoj mountains. Guided hikes to these mountains start at 7am at Apoka Tourism Center and usually take about 4hours.They are the ideal viewing point for birds and wildlife, including the mountain reedbuck. Remember to carry your packed lunch or snacks which you can have during your lunch break. Drive back to your lodge and relax for the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala.
Transfer Back to Kampala: Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast. You will drive back to Kampala via Gulu. Lunch will be enroute to Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival in Kampala, you can have your guide drop you off at any hotel of your choice in the city or at Entebbe International Airport where you will board your next flight back home.
