The Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the oldest national parks of Uganda and boosts of a great number of wildlife that you may get to enjoy on this safari. There are several activities one can participate in while in Queen Elizabeth national park like game drives in the savannah, boat cruises on the Kazinga channel, chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge, visit the lake Katwe crater salt mine or even visit a local community.

Trip Description
Day 1: Drive 4 hours from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
On this day, you will meet your driver guide who will be anxiously waiting to take you on this 4 day experience in Uganda. This tour starts from Kigali Rwanda where you will meet your driver guide at the agreed place of pick up in Kigali. You will receive a simple briefing and after head out to your first stop at the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a visit and conclude your Kigali city tour with a stop at the Kimironko Market for a chance to purchase some local produce and interact with the Rwandan sellers.
You will after head out to Bwindi forest crossing via the Uganda-Rwanda land border Katuna and connect further to your hotel. You will have an enroute lunch and arrive at your hotel in time to check in and settle in as you wait for dinner to be served.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest national park
Wake up early in the cold Bwindi forest excited for your day. You will grab a quick breakfast and also carry your packed lunch boxes and connect with your driver guide who will be waiting to transfer you to the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing ahead of your mountain gorilla experience.
You will enter the forest and search for about 2 to 6 hours until you meet your gorilla family of the day. Enjoy your 1 hour with the gorillas at a 6 meter distance and after exit the forest headed for the late lunch at the hotel.
You will cool off and relax and if you are interested and still energetic, you may take on an optional community visit and return in time for night fall. Dinner will be served and you will spend your second night in Bwindi forest.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for afternoon launch cruise and evening game drive.
Wake up early to have breakfast and check out of your hotel headed for the Queen Elizabeth national park. You will connect to the Queen Elizabeth national park from Bwindi impenetrable forest via the Ishasha road where on a good day you may spot some tree climbing lions. You will arrive at your hotel in the late morning hours where you will check in and wait for lunch to be served.
After lunch, you will drive to the Kazinga channel bridge where you will get the chance to view the aquatic life of this Queen Elizabeth national park like the crocodiles and the largest herd of hippos seen in the whole of Africa. You may also don some birding while on this afternoon cruise. Connect back with your driver guide who will be ready to transfer you to the park for a chance to catch some of the nocturnal animals coming out to hunt for feed of the night. Return to your lodge in time for dinner and first night in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala.
Wake up at the break of dawn to catch the early risers. You will have some breakfast and then set out to the park for a morning game drive. You will enjoy the savannah plains and spot a number of wildlife like the elephants, buffaloes, bush bucks, impalas, and the warthogs. You will also spot the leopards and lions on a great day in the park. After enjoying your game drive, you will set out to return to Kampala via the Equator. You may stop for lunch enroute and arrive in Kampala in the late evening hours.
