Lake Mburo national park
Lake Mburo national park is located in western Uganda, it’s the smallest national park in Uganda and is closest to the family of the president. Lake Mburo remains as unique game park of its features, size and location. Its located approximately 240sqkms from Kampala and 30km from mbarara town the biggest city in western Uganda.
From Entebbe airport to lake mburo its approximately 290kms,the game park is shared by three districts which include;Lyantode, kiruhura,isingiro north. Its also well known as nearest game park to the presidents home in Nyabushozi,it takes only 2hours to drive to the presidents resident thus making 99km.
The park can be accessed by road from Kampala capital city which takes like 5 hours with a stopover in masaka using the The park is along masaka-mbarara-kabale highway. to the tourist using air it only takes less than an hour to be at the park.
The park was gazetted in 1933 controlled by the obote regime and it was gazetted to control hunting areas with in the park and later it was up graded to game reserve in 1963

Lake mburo national park being in savannah areas it has attractions which include hills, flat plains, savannah trees, mammals and birds species which has attracted thousands of tourists all over the world.

The park has provided different activities such as Hiking, Game drive, Nature walk, Bird watching and horse riding among others.
