This 4 days Double gorilla trekking in Rwanda sees  to volcanoes National park Rwanda, Rwanda’s  top  travel destination.  later you will get to track the endangered  mountain gorilla  twice before transferring back to Kigali.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Following your arrival at Kigali airport, our company representative together with the driver / guide will be waiting to welcome you and later drive through the terraced hills of Rwanda to Volcanoes national park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge (luxury) Le Bambou gorilla lodge (mid range), Hotel Muhabura (budget).

Day 2: First Gorilla trekking experience

You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.

However, the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day! You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax. In the evening, you can do an optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking experience

Enjoy early morning breakfast and report to the park headquarters for your second Gorilla trek but visiting a different gorilla family this time. The procedure is the same as above.

Later in the evening, you will visit Iby’iwacu cultural village where you will learn more about traditional Rwandese culture and enjoy the folksongs and dances. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 4: Kigali city tour and airport drop off

Have breakfast at leisure, you will transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will have a city tour where you will visit the Genocide memorial grounds, local markets, museum, craft shops, do some shopping and later transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
