GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING

Just like gorilla trekking in Rwanda which involves tourists hiking the Virunga mountains in Rwanda to get to the habituated families, golden monkey trekking also involves tourists hiking the Virunga mountains to get to the habituated chimpanzee troops in the park. You will spend one hour with the primates observing their behavior in the park and also in a way you will get to understand the differences between the golden monkeys and gorillas as you the you will get to see the are unique creatures playing and swinging from one tree branch to another, feeding on bamboo stems which is also a source of food to them and you can also see them eating fruits when it is available for quite a mesmerizing activity.

Hiking the Virunga Mountains

The Virunga mountains in Rwanda, are famous for housing half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas but on their own the Virunga mountains have a number of exceptional views that can be taken in while hiking them, you can also get to see the different bird and primate species that can make the whole adventure quite memorable.
