How do I get there?

It’s about three hours from Kigali by car. You can also get to the park by driving from Kigoma airport which is about an hour away. You can also fly into Kibuye and drive from there.

There are many different kinds of animals in the park including the giant forest hog, the forest duiker, the red river hog, and the bushbuck. There are also many different species of birds that can be seen at the park including the great blue turaco, the blue-headed sunbird, the yellow-billed oxpecker, and the crowned eagle. The park is also home to many different types of amphibians and reptiles such as the African chameleon, the green mamba, and the crocodiles that live in Lake Kivu.
