This park entrance fees differs because of several reasons that are tax related and the rate for the citizens is lower so as to promote domestic tourism. Golden Monkey permit goes for 100 USD for foreigners, 65 USD for the foreign residents, 65 USD for Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 80 USD for the EAC foreign citizens.
Mountain Gorillas Permit is the most sought after one and has a standard price for all visitors whether nationals or foreigners, you all pay 1500 USD for a permit to trek Rwandan mountain gorillas.
Karisimbi Hike permit costs 400 USD for foreigners, 250 USD for foreign residents, 200 USD for Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 300 for EAC foreign citizens. This is a 2 day hike so ensure to book yourself the additional services such as porter, chef. This rate does not include those but has accommodation and hike fee only.
Muhabura Hike permit is 100 USD for the foreigners, 75 USD for foreign residents, 60 USD for the Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 80 USD for the EAC foreign residents.
Muhabura- Gahinga Hike permit goes for 200 USD for foreigners, 160 USD for foreign residents, 130 USD for the Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 165 for EAC foreign residents.
Guided Nature Walk goes for 55 USD for foreigners, 40 USD for foreign residents, 35 USD for Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 45 USD for EAC foreign residents.
Multiple Volcanoes Hike permit where you get to hike the Mount Gahinga, Muhabura, Bisoke, Karisimbi goes for 1,500 USD for all hikers.
Camping fee is 30 USD for foreigners and foreign residents, 10 USD for Rwandan/ EAC citizens and 20 USD for the EAC foreign residents.
