You will then cross over to Tanzania where you will get to enjoy classic game drive safaris in Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater Area. This tour begins in Nairobi, Kenya and ends in Arusha, Tanzania.

Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Kenya and Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Masai Mara national park
Depending on your location in Nairobi/ upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi, you will be meant by our company representative to start your journey to Masai Mara at your agreed time with your safari guide. It’s about 5 hours’ day drive from Nairobi on the road. The first part of the journey is a smooth tarmac road that leads you up to Narok. A short drive from the Narok town and a rough road welcomes you to enter Masai Mara National Park. Connect to your lodge for relaxation for the evening. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai mara national park
Early morning breakfast and connect to explore the Masai Mara plains for game drive that will get you quite close to different wildlife species in big numbers. From solitary buffaloes to copulating lions, birds and small game of all types; you will see it all on a game drive in Masai Mara! Be keen enough as you observe the popularly known wildebeest migration from Serengeti crossing to Masai Mara via Mara River. This migration only takes place in July to October. Animals such as the wildebeest, zebras, lions, cheetah, elephants, hyenas, Thompson’s gazelle to mention but a few can be spotted. Spend the whole day on a game drive with your packed lunch. Later return to your lodge for lunch and relax from the scotching sun. In the evening, go for another game drive. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti national park
After breakfast, then check-out and embark on your journey to Serengeti national park in Tanzania with your packed lunch. You will have a game drive on your way to Isebania border where you will be crossing to Tanzania. Cross via Oloololo gate in Mara west.
Upon crossing the border and finalizing with the customs office with clearance, proceed to enter Serengeti national park and continue to your accommodation with en-route game drive as you enjoy the plains of Serengeti. Serengeti national park is a home of the big five game and other wildlife and it is best known for its wildebeest migration that happens every year. Dinner and overnight at your selected lodge.
Day 4: Full day in Serengeti national park
After your breakfast, you will go in the Serengeti plains full day game drive with your packed lunch. Some of the wildlife to look out for include; the Lions, Thomson gazelles, topi, ostriches, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, hyenas, rhinos to mention but a few. After your full day game drive, connect back to your lodge. Return for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 5: Ngorongoro crater drive
After breakfast, connect to Ngorongoro conservation area and descend 600 meters into the crater and enjoy seeing wildlife species such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests and many others. You will also visit Lake Magadi, which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south-western corner and is among the main features of the crater. You will see a large number of flamingos, hippos as well as other bird species along the lake-shores. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Arusha – Departure
After your picnic lunch, embark on your drive to Arusha. It’s about 4 hours’ drive with en-route stop at the Manyara viewpoint and masai market if interested. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at Kilimajaro international airport for your onward flight back home.
