Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Masai Mara Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your Uganda safari guide shall pick you from your hotel of stay in Entebbe or Kampala and after you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Enjoy amazing views en-route, stop at the Equator as well as for Lunch. Proceed to the park arriving in the evening. Check in at the lodge, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trek in Bwindi forest Park
Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. This is a once lifetime experience and unforgettable adventure. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about1hour.
The activity can take 2 -7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awesome and exciting moment where you will be able to see other types of the primates such as monkeys, birds, and more. Return for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3. Drive to Entebbe, Fly to Nairobi Kenya (Own Booking)
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you shall proceed for a transfer back to Entebbe with a drop off at the Airport in time for your flight to Tanzania (Book an evening flight departing 8pm and beyond).
Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your hotel of stay for check in and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve, Game Drive
Have an early breakfast and thereafter proceed to transfer to Masai Mara National Resrve, enjoying amazing sight-seeing en-route. Once in the park, enjoy a game drive, your packed lunch and after lunch we go for afternoon game drive search for the large prides of lions, leopards, unique zebras, buffalos, Rhinos, Elephants, Wildebeest and many more. Return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day at the Maasai Mara
You will spend the whole second day of your safari enjoying the wonders of the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve. Among the top wildlife to you will see include the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. You will have a morning game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and return for an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you can opt for a picnic lunch, to make sure that you savor the Mara well. There is an optional evening cultural walk to the local Maasai village for an experience of the local culture Dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 6: Departure
After an early Morning breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and transfer back to Nairobi, with a Maasai cultural experience en-route. You will have your lunch along the way, and will be dropped off to your hotel or to the airport for your flight home.
