Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Tanzania Safari from Masai Mara
Day 1: Masai Mara – Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Depending on your location in Masai Mara national reserve, meet our company representative, and embark on your journey to Serengeti national park in Tanzania via Isebania border where you will cross from. Upon arrival at the border, the customs office will do clearance after which, meet your Tanzanian guide have en-route lunch in Tarime town and then proceed to Serengeti where you will enter the park with en-route game viewing in the Serengeti plains. Check-in for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day in Serengeti national park
After your breakfast, you will go in the Serengeti plains for a morning game drive you’re your packed lunch. Some of the wildlife to look out for include; the Lions, Thomson gazelles, topi, ostriches, cheetahs elephants, leopards, hyenas, rhinos to mention but a few. After your full-day game drive, you will proceed to the Visitor Centre, which is close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites. The Centre offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. Later in the evening, connect back to your lodge. Return for dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater
After your early breakfast, drive out of Serengeti national park and connect to Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is about 3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival in Ngorongoro, descend into over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day crater visit. The Ngorongoro crater is home to a variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park with a dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually have been seen here. After the game drive, proceed to check-in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Visit Mto Wa Mbu – Transfer to Arusha – Departure
You will have breakfast at your lodge, you shall get to experience the cultural diversity in Mto wa Mbu where you will visit craft shops and also interact with the locals before head for Arusha. It’s a 2-3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, proceed to Kilimanjaro airport for your onward flight back home departing at 3 pm.
