Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park
According to your location on the first day of the 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will educate you on the safari before beginning the journey to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. The park is a 4 to 5-hour trip away, and along the route you will see amazing views of drums at Mpambire, make a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe to snap photographs and buy souvenirs, and then continue on to the park. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive to see various animals, watch the sunset, and enjoy the lovely surroundings, among other things.
Dinner and overnight stay at your designated lodge.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the second day of your 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park safari, after breakfast, you will meet with your driver guide for a morning game drive in the park, where you will be rewarded with great views of animals such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, impalas, topi, and various bird species. After the wildlife drive, you’ll head to the lodge for lunch.
Following lunch, you will proceed to the landing spot for an unforgettable boat tour on Lake Mburo. During the two-hour boat ride, you will see hippos and crocodiles in the lake, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelopes along the shoreline, as well as water birds such as cormorants, hornbills, bee-eaters, and kingfishers, and fisherman fishing.
Later retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive and Visit Rwenjeru Community
On the third day of your 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari, have breakfast at your lodge and head out for a full day game drive in the park where you will have a chance to search for any specific wildlife species that you didn’t see in the park during your previous game drive. You will only return back to your lodge for lunch and relax for a while before heading back out for another game drive.
After your game drive, you will head for a cultural visit to Rwenjeru Community where you will get a chance to interact with the local community who are traditional cattle keepers. You will get to visit their cattle kraals, milk cattle, ghee making and also participate in local dance and singing performances from the local dance troupe.
Later retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Walking safari and departure to Kampala
On the last day of your 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari, after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driving guide for a guided nature walk within the park with an expert park guide, where you will be able to get up close and personal with various wildlife species. Following the nature tour, you will begin your trip back to Kampala, stopping for lunch along route. After lunch, you will travel to Kampala, arriving in the early evening, and your driver guide will drop you off at any location of your choice.
